I should've known it was too good to be true.
Whatever's out there, it knew that we were here. I caught glimpses of it on sensors from the ship and on the external cameras, but every time I even glance at the monitors I get this splitting headache that doesn't go away until I close my eyes. It's already taken Tobias and Riley, I saw their rigs on the port-side cameras crushed and gouged into, like a predator cracking open the shell of a crustacean to gorge itself on what sat inside. Allison and Benny are freaking out in the cargo bay, we all want to go out there and at least retrieve what's left of their rigs but none of us want to risk letting that thing onboard. I'd contemplated taking ol' Rambler out there to do so, but the poor boy's still grounded after what happened on our last expedition a few systems over, and I don't have all the tools I need to get him up and running right now.
I managed to catch a few real looks at it between the migraines as I write this. Somehow, it's both too rigid and mechanical to be an organic creature, yet I saw what I thought was muscle tissue exposed along its back as it prowled around outside. I managed to identify what looked like a hand on the starboard cam, four-fingered and gangly, and a round mass of, something, along its back end. I don't even know how to describe it, and yet I do, as if the words in my mind aren't entirely my own. If I close my eyes for a moment, let it sink in, I may be able to.

AMONG THE VAST SEA, YOU FIND ME, STARCHILD. YOU PEER OUT FROM THE CONFINES OF YOUR FLIMSY CARAPACE, AND I STARE BACK. YOUR COMPATRIOTS ARE WEAK, UNABLE TO SEE THE TRUE BEAUTY OF THE UNIVERSE. ONLY YOU HAVE THE WILL TO KNOW ME, IF ONLY FOR A MOMENT. AND THUS, I IMPLORE YOU, STARCHILD. GAZE DEEP INTO THE SINGULARITY. BEAR WITNESS TO SHEER POTENTIALITY. AND I WILL FIND YOU, WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT. BUT UNTIL THEN?
YOU MUST RUN.

It's laughing at us. A subtle, breathy chuckle.
We need to leave. Now.
postscript: and here's the actual bio for Juno that I had on COMP/CON.
unfortunately, there were some fun CSS things present in the webapp that I wasn't able to translate over, but it was mostly just some funny CSS stuff that I already had to finagle with just to get it to work in there, so I don't really mind it too much.
